DESCRIPTION:Location features: Pool and rock shelf. \nHazards/Dangers: Rock shelf can be dangerous as you can’t see the waves coming. A moderate 1.8m swell is forecast\, and this will be a high tide\, so we should keep a watchful eye on the surf\, particularly at this location because the height of the swell and rouge waves are hidden from view when on the rock shelf. \nFitness requirements: A 5 -10 min walk from the car park to the pool and stairs down to the pool area (and back!). \nAdditional safety equipment required: Bring a torch and wear rock shoes. The rock shelf can be slippery with numerous potholes to watch out for. \nFitness requirements: From the road there is a steep-ish track down to the beach\, and then a ten-minute flat walk out on the rock shelf.
