DESCRIPTION:Location Information\nLocation features: North Curl Curl can be a spectacular location for sunrise\, with great views of Curl Curl Beach from the top of the Headland. Different comps are also available at Curl Curl rockpool\, where there might be some overflow from the high tide and moderate swell. \nHazards/Dangers: There is a short bush walk to the headland for cliff top views. Steps take you down to the rockpool. Access to the rock shelf east of (i.e. ocean side) the pool will depend on surf conditions and requires decent rock shoes/ boots. DESCRIPTION:Location Information\n!!!!!!!!!!ROUGH SWELL PREDICTED!!!!!!!!!!! \nJoin us for a sunrise at Terrigal.  This time we are going to the northern end of Terrigal rock shelf known as Terrigal Point and Broken Head. Access will be via the northern end of the Haven walking past the boat ramp and Haven Beach Cafe. Tide will be low so this won’t be a problem.\nRain is forecast on the day so at least we know there will be clouds! \nLocation features: Rockshelf and views to Wamberal and Forresters Beach. Some interesting rock formations with  some flat rocks that have great reflections when wet. \nHazards/Dangers: Normal rock shelf dangers. Trip hazards\, holes\, slippery rocks\, rock slides\, dangerous waves and swell. \nFitness requirements: Short walk around point. DESCRIPTION:Location Information\nLocation features: Beach with foreground rocks\, pool and the best rockshelf on the Northern Beaches. The last time we went to Whale Beach in November the tide was not high enough to produce flow in the gullies. So this time we are hoping for slightly better conditions. It is a 1.5m high tide with a 2.1m moderate swell. \nHazards/Dangers: Take care on the rockshelf and keep an eye on the surf \nFitness requirements: A short walk from the car park to the pool. DESCRIPTION:Location Information\nLocation features:  Rock shelf with canyons\, blowholes and rock pools.  Large shallow pool creates excellent reflections of the sunrise. \nHazards/Dangers: Slippery rock shelf.  The edge of the rock shelf is treacherous – crashing waves with few escape locations if you get swept in. \nFitness requirements: Moderate fitness\, as quite a long walk from the car park (1100m) over soft sand and slippery rock shelf.  Can be very tiring despite being level except near the car park. \nAdditional safety equipment required: Torch/headlamp required.  Strongly recommend wearing rock shoes (with spikes) if going onto the rock shelf canyons. DESCRIPTION:Location Information\nLocation features : \n***NEW LOCATION *** \nDiscovered an access path to the base of the cliffs at North Avalon. Boulder strewn beach with views south to Bilgola headland. Could be some nice flow at this tide. You could also shoot the sweep of Avalon Beach itself\, unusually from the northern end. \nHazards/Dangers: North Avalon headland is notorious for falling rocks\, so we will not venture close the the base of the cliffs. Some gentle rock hopping required to find a composition near the surf\, but not dangerous. \nFitness requirements:  A 5 minute walk along a rough path from the North Avalon Beach car park. \nAdditional safety equipment required: Bring a torch and wear rock shoes to give you more secure footing. Drive there. Train it. Fly in………….don’t miss this!!!! \nThe BOM’s swell indicator for 5am Saturday is for 7 metre swell!!! BYO Floaties………… \nHazards/Dangers: There is to be expected extremely high seas which make this a serious shoot\, regardless of the excitement factor. We’ll be shooting with a rising tide and an expected massive swell. The danger posed by extreme set waves far exceeding the wet-water marks cannot be over-stated. Be safe at all times. Slippery rocks\, flying sheets of spray\, possible rain & wind. Large round rocks. Broken waves inundating the rock-shelf in many areas\, potentially to head height. As well\, there will probably be a lot of photographers on site. \nFitness requirements: Good mobility in difficult conditions with uneven surfaces & large round rocks. \nAdditional safety equipment required: Torch\, weather-proof layers. I prefer solid boots rather than cleats at Bombo quarry.
