This is a deceptive tide ; flat and receding\, but a forecast “rough” 2.6m swell.\nFrom the safety of the beach car park we can assess the swell and whether to venture onto the rockshelf beyond the pool. Bring a long lens if you have one\, to give yourself both options.\nIf the swell persists beyond dawn\, there should be plenty of surfers enjoying the waves in Bongin Bongin Bay to the left of the pool. \nHazards/Dangers : If you are near the waters’ edge\, keep an eye on the surf. Even on an out-going tide\, big sets of waves can surprise you. \nFitness requirements? : Short walk from the car park onto the beach \nAdditional safety equipment required : Pool lights will likely be on until after First Light.
