SUMMARY:North Shoot - Saturday 6th April at Mona Vale Pool with Andrew Porter
DESCRIPTION:Location Information\nLocation features : A safe location for these conditions. Although we were at Mona Vale last month\, this time will be different. The forecast predicts a possible East Coast Low pounding the coast with high winds and rain (on Friday). Combine this with a high (1.9m) tide (on Saturday) and a 2-4m swell\, and we should get some pretty impressive wave action over the pool. There is shelter at the beach car park if it is still raining\, but to shoot the pool from there you will need a long lens. Easy access onto the beach to get closer without getting hit by in-coming waves. Probably best to avoid going onto the pool itself. \nHazards/Dangers : Big surf expected\, and this is a high tide. \nFitness requirements? : Short walk from the car park. \nAdditional safety equipment required : Always a good idea to wear rock shoes and to bring a torch. \n*Once you add your name to attend the shoot\, please click on the link to Subscribe\, this will enable you to be notified automatically of any changes to the shoot ** \nSafety\nBy adding your name below to attend this Focus shoot you are agreeing to abide by the SAFETY POLICY FOR FOCUS SEASCAPE AND LANDSCAPE available on the Focus website https://focusphotographers.org/focus-safety-policy/\nThis Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.\nFocus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. SUMMARY:Newcastle Shoot - Saturday\, 27th April at Dudley Beach (south side) with Terina Vale
DESCRIPTION:Location Information \nLocation features: Rock shelf with canyons\, blowholes and rock pools.  Large shallow pool for reflections\, sweeping beachscape. \nHazards/Dangers: Slippery rock shelf.  The edge of the rock shelf is treacherous – crashing waves with few escape locations if you get swept in. \nFitness requirements: Moderate fitness\, as quite a long walk from the car park (1\,100m) over soft sand and slippery rock shelf.  Can be very tiring despite being level except near the car park. \nAdditional safety equipment required: Torch/headlamp required.  Strongly recommend wearing rock shoes (with spikes) if going onto the rock shelf canyons. \n*Once you add your name to attend the shoot\, please click on the link to “Subscribe”\, this will enable you to be notified automatically of any changes to the shoot ** \nSafety \nBy adding your name below to attend this Focus shoot you are agreeing to abide by the SAFETY POLICY FOR FOCUS SEASCAPE AND LANDSCAPE available on the Focus website https://focusphotographers.org/focus-safety-policy/ \nThis Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.\nFocus Photographers as a group\, advocates and promotes safe shooting practices.
