SUMMARY:North Shoot - Saturday 25th February at North Newport with Andrew Porter
DESCRIPTION:Location Information\nLocation features : Low tide at this location offers opportunities to ‘isolate’ boulders in the surf and capture early morning sunlight on rock features. \nThe rockshelf is flat at this low tide but there should be some flow at the edge of the reef. It should be possible to walk around the South Bilgola headland to the old tidal pool. \nThe top end of Newport Beach is flat and sheltered\, for those who want to be less adventurous. \nHazards/Dangers : Some rock-hopping required if you want to make it further around the headland. The tide is still going out at sunrise. The rockshelf is slippery. \nFitness requirements? : A ten-minute walk from the car park to the end of Newport Beach and the start of the headland rockshelf. \nAdditional safety equipment required : Rock shoes will keep you steadier on your feet and they are designed to get wet. Well worth the investment. Bring a torch so that you can see in the darkness before dawn. \n*Once you add your name to attend the shoot\, please click on the link to Subscribe\, this will enable you to be notified automatically of any changes to the shoot ** \nSafety\nBy adding your name below to attend this Focus shoot you are agreeing to abide by the SAFETY POLICY FOR FOCUS SEASCAPE AND LANDSCAPE available on the Focus website https://focusphotographers.org/focus-safety-policy/\nThis Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.\nFocus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. SUMMARY:North Shoot - Saturday 13th May at Careel Bay Marina with Mark Godfrey
DESCRIPTION:Location features: This is a new location! There’s a small wharf with a Marina and cafe\, boats and dinghies stranded on the sandflats. The sun doesn’t come up over the hill till about 7 am so a later start than usual. There’s plenty of scope for detail shots around the Marina and amongst the stranded dinghies. \nAs this is a new location there’s a challenge for you…take a triptych – 3 images that are connected in some way and presented together. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to put them together in Lightroom or Photoshop just post the 3 images together. There’s an example in the images below (you may need to click on the link to see it) \nHazards/Dangers: None as this is a foreshore area in Pittwater. \nFitness requirement: Flat walking less then 1 minute from the car \nAdditional safety equipment required: None but if you want to walk on the sand flats waterproof footwear would be good as it’s muddy. \n*Once you add your name to attend the shoot\, please click on the link to Subscribe\, this will enable you to be notified automatically of any changes to the shoot ** \nSafety\nBy adding your name below to attend this Focus shoot you are agreeing to abide by the SAFETY POLICY FOR FOCUS SEASCAPE AND LANDSCAPE available on the Focus website https://focusphotographers.org/focus-safety-policy/ \nThis Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders. \nFocus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices.
