DESCRIPTION:Location Information\nLocation features : Low tide at this location offers opportunities to ‘isolate’ boulders in the surf and capture early morning sunlight on rock features. \nThe rockshelf is flat at this low tide but there should be some flow at the edge of the reef. It should be possible to walk around the South Bilgola headland to the old tidal pool. \nThe top end of Newport Beach is flat and sheltered\, for those who want to be less adventurous. \nHazards/Dangers : Some rock-hopping required if you want to make it further around the headland. The tide is still going out at sunrise. The rockshelf is slippery. \nFitness requirements? : A ten-minute walk from the car park to the end of Newport Beach and the start of the headland rockshelf. \nAdditional safety equipment required : Rock shoes will keep you steadier on your feet and they are designed to get wet.
