SUMMARY:North Shoot - Saturday 31st May at Long Reef with Andrew Porter
DESCRIPTION:Location Information\nLocation features : It’s a 0.5 m low tide at sunrise\, so the flat reef will be exposed. Multiple compositions of scattered boulders\, some surf on the outer reef and a possible reverse sunrise with reflections of the headland and cliff. Also a nice composition looking out from the top of the headland\, especially if we get a good sunrise. \nHazards/Dangers : Take care walking on the reef in the dark. Although it is flat\, there are crevasses and ponds. \nFitness requirements? : It’s a 10-minute walk from the car park to the top of the headland\, then another 10-minute walk down the track onto the reef itself. DESCRIPTION:This is a SUNDAY morning shoot\nLocation Information \nLocation features : Beach\, isolated rocks and possible access to the rockshelf to witness the reverse sunrise and reflections on the massive Turimetta headland \nHazards/Dangers : It’s a 0.6m low tide\, which would normally give access to the rockshelf relatively easily. But the swell forecast is 2.5m\, rough at 8s\, which means we need to keep an eye on the surf. DESCRIPTION:Location features: \nOcean pools with pump house\, numbered diving blocks and swimmers.  Surrounded by rock shelf and vista to Bar Beach. \nHazards/Dangers: \nConcrete pool surround can be slippery.  Rock shelf is slippery and uneven\, and can be over-washed by waves.  During rough swell the waves may be washing over the ocean side of the pool. \nFitness requirements: \nLocation is wheel-chair accessible via ramps.  The most direct access from car park is via steep stairs. \nAdditional safety equipment required: \nNon-slip footwear.
