Snowy Mountains Workshop – White on White with Len Metcalf

5 INSPIRING DAYS TO EXPLORE & DEVELOP YOUR HIGH KEY SNOW & ICE PHOTOGRAPHY

Snow covered gums and icicle dripping creeks frozen in time are some of the magical subjects to be photographed on this special workshop in the Snowy Mountains with Len Metcalf. A workshop dedicated to photographing this winter wonderland.  With all lunches, morning and afternoon tea included, all you need to do is unwind and focus on your photography.

Based in the lakeside town of Jindabyne we have access to a range of beautiful locations. The pick will be the snow covered gum trees, the windblown rind ice that patterns the grey granite boulders and the tumbling creeks that wind their way through the snow leaving beautiful icicles. Working in this cold environment will be hard work, but we will temper it with cosy warm classroom sessions where you can work on your images.

Enjoy Len’s gentle, supportive teaching style as you participate in twice-daily class sessions tailored to your needs.  You can read more about class topics below.

Throughout the workshop you will receive professional guidance and advice while shooting at a variety of locations.  You will also receive valuable feedback on your photographs from your group in critique sessions.

Theory and technique are practiced, developed, nurtured and grown through a series of practical shoots and class sessions.  Over the week you will be encouraged to experiment with new techniques and venture into undiscovered creative territory.

NB: This workshop includes daily shoots & tuition but not accommodation, so you are free to choose accommodation that meets your needs and budget.
