This Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.
Focus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of the group during your time spent on any Focus group outing.

Sydney North Sunrise Shoot – Saturday 26th February – North Turimetta with Eric van Zeyl

Location Information
Location features: A fantastic rockshelf but will be narrower at this high tide. Usual opportunities to shoot the surf and sunrise, but the reverse view of Turimetta headland with reflections, is also very dramatic.
Hazards/Dangers: Be careful on the slippery rockshelf with cracks & potholes. Although this is a very low tide, keep an eye on the surf at all times.
Fitness requirements: A fairly steep walk down to the beach from the road (and back up again afterwards). Allow ten minutes to get out onto the rockshelf.
Additional safety equipment required: Rock shoes, if you are going onto the rockshelf, and a torch to guide yourself down before first light.
