Southies Shoot – Saturday 16th April at Mahon Pool with Murray Barnes
Location Information
Location features: After the dramatic shoot at Bombo Quarry, this should be a much more relaxed affair. No safety briefing by any big-big Bossy boots required.
There’s a pool, with good-looking sandstone cliffs everywhere. The entire area should be squeaky-clean after the swell & all the rain. Nice !
Hazards/Dangers: Uneven footing, slippery surfaces, holes in the rock-shelf and steps.
Fitness requirements: Normal mobility on uneven & slippery surfaces.
Additional safety equipment required: Cleats or rock-shoes for the pool surrounds or the rock-shelf. Boots for the cliffs. Shower-resistant layer. Torch.
