This Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.
Focus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of the group during your time spent on any Focus group outing.

SOUTH (ILLAWARRA) SHOOT – Sunday 26th February – Little Austinmer Beach with Troy Loveday

Location Information
Location features: This location is well known for its rock shelf, remnants of an old swimming pool and nearby beach.
Hazards/Dangers: Parts of the rock shelf can be slippery and there are deep holes/pools in areas. Care must be taken close to the cliff as rockfalls can happen. Extreme care should be taken when out on the rock platform in case of large waves that can occur at anytime.
Fitness requirements: No specific fitness requirements are necessary. There is a reasonable short 5-minute walk from the carpark down the stairs and across to the rocks.
Additional safety equipment required: It is a good idea to pack some good rock shoes and a head torch or a flashlight.
