Focus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of the group during your time spent on any Focus group outing.

Central Coast Shoot – Sunday 3rd December, 2023 – Girrakool Waterfall with Sam Wilson

Location Information
Location features: Located in Brisbane Water National Park, this is a nice, small waterfall with a few different angles if you want to get creative.
Hazards/Dangers: Can be slippery and has numerous trip hazards that you would expect around a waterfall.
Fitness requirements: It’s less than a 15 minute walk – graded a 3 which just means there’s a few stairs down to the waterfall at the end. Mostly it’s a fairly easy walk with a good, well-defined track.
Additional safety equipment required: Decent shoes with good grip.

Meeting Place & Time
Meeting place: Girrakool picnic area, Somersby. Please note this is a national park so fees apply. You can park outside the gate if you wish – allow an additional 5-10 mins to walk to meeting point.
Meeting time: 7:00 am (this is when the rangers open the gates)
