This Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.
Focus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of the group during your time spent on any Focus group outing.

Location features:
Wide range of features. Sandy beach. Rocky beach. Variety of rock shelves with canyons. Exposed coal seams on headlands. A marine sanctuary. One of the most varied rock shelves in the Newcastle Region.
Hazards/Dangers:
Rock shelf has very uneven surface with boulders and holes. The edge of the rock shelf is sudden, making exit from the water difficult. Possibility of slippery surfaces.
Fitness requirements:
Steep walk through soft sand and vegetation along path from car park to water’s edge. Medium walk across uneven rock shelf with pools of water.
Additional safety equipment required:
Rock shoes. You will require a flashlight for the walk in.
