This Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.
Focus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of the group during your time spent on any Focus group outing.

Newcastle Shoot – Saturday, 27th April at Dudley Beach (south side) with Terina Vale

Location Information
Location features: Rock shelf with canyons, blowholes and rock pools. Large shallow pool for reflections, sweeping beachscape.
Hazards/Dangers: Slippery rock shelf. The edge of the rock shelf is treacherous – crashing waves with few escape locations if you get swept in.
Fitness requirements: Moderate fitness, as quite a long walk from the car park (1,100m) over soft sand and slippery rock shelf. Can be very tiring despite being level except near the car park.
Additional safety equipment required: Torch/headlamp required. Strongly recommend wearing rock shoes (with spikes) if going onto the rock shelf canyons.
