Location Information

Location features: Ocean baths with canoe pool alongside, pump house, numbered diving blocks, walkway across the pool, rails, building surrounding rock shelves, vista across to Newcastle Beach and cityscape.

Hazards/Dangers: Concrete pool surround can be slippery.  Rock shelves are slippery and uneven, and can be over-washed by waves. Pool can also have waves washing over the ocean side of the pool.

Fitness requirements: Easy, short walk from car park to the baths and beach.

Additional safety equipment required: Rock or non-slip footwear and flashlight.
