This Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.
Focus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of the group during your time spent on any Focus group outing.

Location Information
Location features :
Beach, Pool & Rockshelf. Also a good view from the top of the headland if sunrise is a cracker – but be careful not to get too close to the edge !
Hazards/Dangers :
It’s a rising 1.4m tide at sunrise, although only a slight swell is forecast. Surf may be coming over the pool and restrict access to the rockshelf. The rockshelf can be slippery and some rock-hopping is required to get around to the southern side. Remember that the tide is still coming in, so be sure of your return route to the pool area.
Fitness requirements? :
The beach and pool are just a short walk from the SLSC car park
Additional safety equipment required :
Bring a torch and please wear rock boots if you are going out onto the rockshelf.
