This Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.
Focus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of the group during your time spent on any Focus group outing.

Location Information
Location features: Rock-strewn beach and rockshelf with views facing north-east towards the rising sun.
Hazards/Dangers: Slippery rockshelf with deep holes and pools etc, so care needs to be taken when walking on the shelf, especially in the dark before dawn. This is a 1m mid-tide rising, so we also need to watch the surf; it’s forecast as at Tuesday to be slight. The tide may be too high to access the shelf directly in front of Turimetta Headland, but there is plenty of other interest on the way.
Fitness requirements: About a 10 minute steep walk from the road down to the beach and then along the beach to the rocks / rockshelf.
Additional safety equipment required: Rock shoes are essential if you are walking on the rockshelf. Be prepared to get wet feet. Bring a torch
