Location features: Reef exposed at low tide with scatted boulders. Some surf action at the far tip and southern side of the reef. Reverse sunrise and reflections looking back westwards to the headland. Good views also from the top of the headland itself.
Hazards/Dangers: Some pools and potholes in the rockshelf to watch out for.
Fitness requirements: It’s a 15-minute walk from the carpark to the the top of the headland, down a steep track and out onto the reef. So, we’ll allow enough time to do that before sunrise, to make the most of first light.
Additional safety equipment required: Wear rock shoes if you’re going out onto the reef, and bring a torch.
