This Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.
Focus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of the group during your time spent on any Focus group outing.

Location Information
Location features: Beach, big headland, some isolated rocks and a flat rockshelf. This is a good low tide location : canyons exposed in the rockshelf make good leading lines with the sun rising in the SE.
Hazards/Dangers: Potholes and slippery rocks on the rockshelf. Although it is a low tide, there is a forecast 1.8m (moderate) swell.
Fitness requirements: It’s a steep walk down to the beach, and a slow climb back up to the road. But worth it if you come away with a Keeper !
Additional safety equipment required : Bungan is a dark beach (no artificial light), so please bring a torch. Rock shoes required if you are exploring the rockshelf.

Meeting place: Park on Barrenjoey Road (Southbound), corner with Karloo Parade, Newport, NSW 2106
Meeting time: 05:00 am (to allow enough time to walk down to the beach)
