This Safety Policy is designed to promote the safety of all members of the Focus Seascape and Landscape Photography Inc Group (Focus) and outlines the responsibilities of members and event leaders.
Focus Photographers as a group advocates and promotes safe shooting practices. Please consider your personal safety and the safety of the group during your time spent on any Focus group outing.

North Shoot – Saturday 22nd June at Avalon Beach and Rockpool with Andrew Porter
June 22 @ 6:15 am - 8:00 am
Location Information
Location features : Beach, featuring the North Avalon headland, pool and possible access to the rockshelf. It’s a (medium) 1.2m rising tide with moderate 1.5m swell.
There is also a good outlook from the top of the southern headland, especially if the sunrise looks promising.
Hazards/Dangers : The rising tide / swell will likely crash over the pool at the far end, which could limit access to the rockshelf. Keep an eye on the surf.
Fitness requirements? : Short walk from the SLSC car park.
Additional safety equipment required : Bring a torch and wear rock boots if going out onto the rockshelf.
