Sydney North Shoot – Saturday, 14th December at Queenscliff Pool, Manly Wormhole and Lagoon with Mark Godfrey

Location Information

Location features (e.g. Beach, Pool, Rockshelf, Waterfall, City views):
Beach, Ocean Pool, Tunnel and Lagoon

Hazards/Dangers (e.g. cliff top, slippery rock shelf, deep holes/pools):
Care needs to be taken on walk to Manly Wormhole a torch or headlamp is mandatory and sturdy shoes/ rock boots.

Fitness requirements? (e.g. long/steep walk, stairs):
The pool is a short walk across the beach. The wormhole is past the pool over a flattish elevated rock shelf with crevasses and holes in the dark. It’s about a 10 min walk from the meeting point across the beach to the wormhole via the pool.

Additional safety equipment required (e.g. Rock shoes, Flashlights)?:
Flashlight/ Torch, Rock shoes / boots if going onto the rock shelf

Meeting Place & Time

Meeting place: Southern side of Queenscliff Surf Livesaving Club’s Building on the beach side

Parking: Parking on the street at the beach is paid from 7am. Suggest trying to park in either Cameron Avenue or Collingwood street which is free parking for 2 hours from 8am and walk across the road to the Surf Club
