The popular Focus Shoot Alerts service has been re-instated via the Telegram Messenger app.
To receive notifications as soon as a Focus shoot has been posted, sign up to the free Telegram app :
- Install **Telegram ** from your app store or download it here: https://telegram.org/
- Register as a Telegram user by entering your mobile number
- (It is not necessary to allow access to your Contacts, but you should permit Notifications)
- Click on the **Search **icon (in the top right corner)
- Type Focus Australia in the input field
- Click on the Focus Australia channel (or use this link https://t.me/FOCUSAustralia)
- Click the Join button and you’ll become a member of the channel. You will then receive notifications (like the illustration below) every time a new Focus shoot is posted.
You will be able to click on the link for any Shoot you wish to attend, to be re-directed to the Focus calendar where you can register your place on the shoot. It is still important to complete that step, so that we remain compliant with current covid restrictions and are informed in advance of who, and how many are attending.
Why not share this announcement with your Focus photo buddies, so that hundreds of Focus Members register for the new app, and it becomes the new platform for Focus Shoot Alerts as quickly as possible.
