The Annual General Meeting of the Focus Photographers – Australian Seascape and Landscape Photography Group, will take place at the Dee Why RSL Club, 932 Pittwater Road, Dee Why, NSW 2099, on Saturday 17th February 2018 at 9.30 am.
The AGM will summarise the achievements of the Focus Group during 2017, and its goals for 2018. The financial position of the Focus Group will also be disclosed.
Importantly, the 2018 Focus Group Committee Members will be formally proposed and elected.
Prospective Focus Group Committee Members must be nominated and seconded by existing Focus Members.

There will be a number of changes to the make-up of the Focus Committee in 2018.
- Rita England has resigned as Treasurer of the Focus Group, due to other commitments.
- Vito Ricapito has resigned as Secretary of the Focus Group, due to other commitments.
- Neville Thorogood has resigned as a Committee Member of the Focus Group, due to other commitments.
- Robin Moon has resigned as a Committee Member of the Focus Group, due to other commitments.
The following existing Committee Members have volunteered themselves for nomination and re-election to the 2018 Focus Group Committee :

There are currently four vacancies for positions on the 2018 Focus Group Committee :

Nominations are invited from Focus Members who would like to be considered for these positions.
The commitments required of Focus Committee Members are to attend a monthly meeting, usually held on the first Saturday of each month in North Sydney.
Each Committee Member will also be assigned roles, according to their skills and background. As appropriate, Committee Members will lead a sub-committee comprising other Focus Group volunteers who are able to devote time and effort to progressing key Focus Group projects during the course of the year.
Focus Committee Members are also committed to upholding the spirit and values of the Focus Group, as a vibrant community of photography enthusiasts at all levels of development, and to encourage the collaboration and sharing of knowledge that has always been a hallmark of the Focus Group culture.
The Focus Group Treasurer is responsible for maintaining comprehensive records of Focus Group income and expenditure, and for governance and oversight to ensure that Focus Group resources are deployed in ways consistent with its status as an incorporated not-for-profit body. This role has formal fiduciary status and should be conducted by a person with appropriate accounting or professional qualifications.
The Focus Group Secretary is the administrative manager of the Focus Group. Responsibilities include compiling the agendas for Focus Committee meetings and publishing minutes from each meeting.
