Focus-approved Educator, Sandra Dann, is running another great-value workshop in her series : ‘The Art Of Seeing And Creating Creative Landscapes’.
The main tool for seeing is “our eyes”. They help us see colour, texture, light and shade, shapes, patterns and contrast within the landscape. When you take an image do you set up and photograph what is front of you? Do you ask yourself why am I taking this image, what it is I like about this landscape, how will I process this image later? Or do you click the camera button and wait to see what you have captured later.
Capturing a great image is all about knowing what you want to take in camera, looking at the options before you, not just taking a photo – but also having the vision to create an image in post-production. This workshop is designed to improve your visual skills, to “see the landscape”, and teach you some post processing techniques to add a WOW factor.

- It’s not just about the technical side of photography –10% Technical and 90% Visual rule – what is it?
- What makes an image interesting?
- Learn how to look for the subject and the hero – see “potential”
- How can you develop the art of seeing?
- Finding inspiration to top up your visual library for the future
- Camera settings and techniques in capturing an image for post processing
- Using your visual skills in processing an image
- Colour grading your images to get the tones you want
- The use of Profiles and LUTS in Lightroom and Photoshop
- Plug ins how can they help your processing techniques
- Using textures to create colour and tone in your landscapes
- Resources to help inspire you
