Waterfalls in and around Sydney

Usually when it rains in Sydney of late, it pours and quite often, the city will experience multiple of days of rain. The humid conditions allow for the ground to remain saturated and follow up rains means there’s greater runoff and the waterfalls around Sydney come to life.

At Focus we have a culture of sharing and in that spirit Jarrad Peters has constructed a google maps with a listing of waterfalls. These can be invaluable if you are new to photographing waterfalls or if you are a Sydney resident not familiar with how many little creeks, rivers and streams contain waterfalls.

If you do venture out to a waterfall please be aware that it can be extremely slippery, with the black moss on rocks the most slippery type. As well, currents and rapids will form so please ensure you are wearing correct footwear and avoid going out by yourself.
