WHAT IS AN ‘INTIMATE LANDSCAPE’ ?

We have a fun Focus competition for May.

The theme is THE INTIMATE LANDSCAPE

There are no hard and fast rules for what constitutes an ‘intimate landscape’. We are using it as a term to describe a detail or subject within a landscape, rather than the full or wide view.

You might find this link to Top 10 Tips For Photographing Intimate Landscapes useful : https://improvephotography.com/51468/top-10-tips-for-photographing-intimate-landscapes/

An intimate landscape shot can, of course, be captured with any type of lens – including macro, telephoto or even wide angle.

The single prize for the ultimate winner is a $200 voucher to be spent with any Focus Sponsor : https://focusphotographers.org/sponsors-3/

Our judges for this competition are Lee Duguid and Timothy Moon. They will consider each image separately based on a number of factors : technical excellence, composition, impact, emotion, and creativity.

The competition is free to enter, and each Member can submit up to FIVE images.

Head over to the Focus Awards website to read the rules and enter the competition : https://comp.focusphotographers.org/enter/home.php

We hope that you will enjoy taking part and shooting some new INTIMATE LANDSCAPE images during May.
