Focus has organised a fun photo competition for the month of June 2020.
The theme is simply : “JUNE”.
This reflects relaxation of travel and recreation
restrictions, allowing us all to re-ignite our passion for landscape and
seascape photography.
(While, of course, respecting and abiding by the remaining restrictions on
small groups, social distancing and longer distance travel).
The competition is free to enter.
Images must be of a landscape or seascape subject – the original Focus genre – captured during the month of June 2020.
The competition opens on the 1st of June and closes on the 30th June 2020.
Each entrant can enter a maximum of 3 (three) images into the competition.
The competition will be judged by Jarrod Castaing and Steve Arnold. Both judges are donating their time and expertise to this Focus competition.
They will judge each image independently and their scores combined to produce an average that will determine the rankings across all competition entries.
The judges may confer to determine the final rankings before results are announced.
Winners will be announced on or before Wednesday 15th July.
The following prizes will be awarded:
1st Prize “: A 30” x 20” facemount acrylic print of the winning image donated by Created For Life – a Focus Long-Standing Partner and Sponsor https://createdforlife.com.au/
2nd Prize : $150 from the Focus Committee to spend with any Focus Sponsor
3rd Prize : $50 from the Focus Committee to spend with any Focus Sponsor
A gallery of the images entered will be available on the Focus website after results have been announced.
Our competition is a celebration of nature and our love of landscape and seascape photography. It’s a chance to go out and have some fun with your photography during the month of June.
It’s also
a level playing field. Only those who venture out during the month of June are
in with a chance of winning ! We hope that as many Focus Members as possible
will join in.
