The 2022 Focus Group Annual General Meeting will take place via Zoom on Saturday 5th February 2022 at 10.00 am. Focus Plus Members will be sent a link to join the Zoom meeting.
The AGM will cover:
- A summary of the achievements of the Focus Group during 2021, and its goals for 2022;
- Disclosure of the financial position of the Focus Group;
- Formal proposal and election of 2022 Focus Committee Members.

Prospective Focus Group Committee Members must be nominated and seconded by existing Focus Plus Members.
There will be a number of changes to the make-up of the Focus Committee in 2022:
Jo Andrews is not standing for re-election as Chairperson of the Focus Group.
Glenda Jennings resigned as Secretary of the Focus Group during the year
Matthew Wickens resigned as a Committee Member of the Focus Group during the year.
The following existing Committee Members have volunteered themselves for nomination and re-election to the 2021 Focus Group Committee:
Andrew Porter – Chairman
Jeanine Avery – Treasurer
Matt Ferguson – Committee Member
Graeme Gordon – Committee Member
Steve McRae – Committee Member
Ash Singh – Committee Member
Thom Wheeler – Committee Member
As a result, there are currently a maximum of 4 vacancies for positions on the 2022 Focus Group Committee:
Secretary
Committee Member : 3 positions
In the event that not all of these positions are filled, the Committee can be formed with a minimum of six Members.
Nominations are invited from Focus Members who would like to be considered for these positions.
The commitments required of Focus Committee Members are to attend a monthly meeting, usually held on the first Saturday of each month in North Sydney or via a Zoom meeting.
The position of Secretary requires administrative skills to maintain Focus records and compliance.
Each general Committee Member will also be assigned roles, according to their skills and background. As appropriate, Committee Members will lead a sub-committee comprising other Focus Group volunteers who are able to devote time and effort to progressing key Focus Group projects during the course of the year.
Focus Committee Members are also committed to upholding the spirit and values of the Focus Group, as a vibrant community of landscape photography enthusiasts at all levels of development, and to encourage the collaboration and sharing of knowledge that has always been a hallmark of the Focus Group culture.
